Listen to our Mindfulness Practice
Mindfulness is an essential leadership practice.
Mindfulness helps us to take down the barriers between people created by our lack of awareness and by our limiting beliefs and assumption that taint and obscure our perception all of the uniquely beautiful people in our precious and very real world.
For the mindful leader the most relevant benefits include cognitive flexibility, emotional resilience, and emotional intelligence.
Cognitive flexibility is the ability to effectively respond regardless of the ups and downs life and business may bring. It is the ability to go with the flow, uninterrupted by distractions. It is the ability to remain calm under fire, a calm that arises from within instead being projected by the donning of our social mask of aloof detachment.
Emotional resilience is the ability to bounce back from difficult, distracting emotions, to efficiently process and manage these emotions so that the leader may respond rather than react.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to be aware of and manage emotions, both of our own and of others.
These three; cognitive flexibility, emotional resilience, and emotional intelligence; yield aplomb which fosters the mindful leader in serving as the eye-of-the-storm and bringing the voice of sanity in the midst of chaos in life and business. In order to bring this serenity and consistently summon her best for herself, her family, her business, her community, and society, the mindful leader engages in daily mindfulness practice. A practice that trains the mind and heart for the demands of the leader in a world of drama.
